The Knicks are feeling the Heat

The Miami Heat are playing like a 12 seed Cinderella story right now. Except this Cinderella story looks like they can play with any team left in the playoffs. The Heat who is an 8 seed became only the Fifth 8 seed ever to beat a One seed in the playoffs and may make it to the conference finals.

The Heat who lost to the Atlanta Hawks in the play in have been on fire since. They beat the #1 seed Bucks and now are leading 3-1 against the Knicks which if history holds true almost guarantees that they will make it to Conference finals and meet up with either the 76ers or Celtics.

This game was a fist fight between the Knicks starting 5 and the whole Miami Heat team. The Knicks did not have much help besides their 3 players that had 20+ points while the Miami Heat had 5 players in double digits with 2 of them being bench players.

The Miami Heat continue to show that they deserve to be here and will be a scary matchup for whoever they meet up with next round. This team is built to make a run and are showing they are capable to do it. With a mixture of star power from Jimmy Butler and the post prime's from Kevin Love and Kyle Lowry this team is not lacking the leadership needed when the pressure gets stronger and stronger.

I still have the Knicks winning the next game as they will not go out at home without fighting for their lives. I expect Knicks fans to continue to show up and be loud as every time they win they party in the streets like they won a Finals. The Knicks will be ready to play Wednesday and will win the game to force a Game 6.

Suns Championship Hopes are Still Alive

It is no doubt that being down 3-1 in a series is almost an impending death. Not going to make any 3-1 jokes here as the Suns stepped up when it mattered and was able to tie the series 2-2. This team could be the best chance that Chris Paul has of finally getting that ring he was scared of most of his career. He may have been out tonight but his hops of having a championship ring is still alive.

This game for the most part was Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray versus the Phoenix Suns. Jokic had a massive night with 53 points and 11 assists but was unable to secure the triple double after having only 5 rebounds. He was truly doing whatever he wanted to do out there against the Suns defense and was so dominant he got the new Suns owner to flop in the stands.

The Nuggets who looked like they were going to easily win this series after starting out 2-0 are now heading back to Denver tied in the series hoping they can get back to where they were against this star studded Suns lineup

The Suns on the other hand are more confident than ever. With Chris Paul out tonight with a groin injury Kevin Durant and Devin Booker stepped up with both having 36 points. Not only did both of these all stars have an amazing game, the Suns were able to get some much needed help from Landry Shamet on the bench who finished with 19. For everyone who understand +/- and advanced analytics Durant and Booker had a respective 0 and -1 while Shamet had a whopping +15 which was one less than the games highest +/- which was Jock Landale who was +16 while on the floor.

At the end of the day the Nuggets kept this game close because of Jokic taking over and putting up 50+ points. The Suns got much needed help from their bench that allowed them to escape from the the Jokic show and go back to Denver with the series tied with hopes to make it to the Conference finals and ultimately go back to the Finals.

Even though today the Nuggets were only in this game because of Jokic, I am still going with the Nuggets to win Game 5. Games 1 and 2 the Nuggets won at home by double digits each night and lost by a few points both away games. They had a 34-7 record at home in the regular season so I am confident that they will be ready to bounce back and go back ahead in this series.
